Dr. Alex Golden is a licensed optometrist who immigrated to the country as a child and grew up in the area. He went to Wheeling High School then did his Undergraduate studies in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He later went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2014, where he graduated Cum Laude and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honors society.
His clinic rotations included time in Newington VA hospital, the Illinois Eye Institute, and various private clinics where he gained specialized experience in both glaucoma and retina. Dr. Golden has a specific interest in diagnosis and management of retinal disease.
Dr. Golden speaks Russian and in his free time enjoys spending time in the outdoors.
